User Fields
You can add a number of User Fields at all
stages of the audit process.
- PRE-AUDIT
You can pre-store 2 fields of data that will be added to all PCs
in an automated audit in the configuration file.
These fields are nominally titled Location and Misc. but of
course you can enter anything you want that's useful to you.
These are non-editable post- audit and they are not visible at
the user's PC even if you run an audit where the user must
interact with the scanner to enter answers to questions.
In the screenshot below, note the two fields, "Preset PC Note 1"
and "Preset PC Note 2"

- WHEN DEPLOYING NEW PCs
You can add two note fields that are PC specific.
These fields are nominally titled Location and Misc. but of
course you can enter anything you want that's useful to you.
Create a text file using Notepad with the format below and save
it as ezaudit.ini to the C:\ root:LOCATION=NEW YORK OFFICE, 12TH FLOOR, OFFICE #25
MISC=INTERNAL ASSET TAG A8F9K
These are non-editable post-audit and they are not visible
at the user's PC even if you run an audit where the user must
interact with the scanner to enter answers to questions.
- AT AUDIT
TIME
There are four fields that can be entered manually at the
PC being audited.
You can ask (or even force) your users to enter information into
these fields when you
configure your
scan, or you can use these yourself if doing a hands-on scan
to enter anything you want.In the screenshot
above, note the option "User is prompted to enter additional
data":

- POST AUDIT
You can add four Admin Notes at the Admin Console to each audit.
The screenshot below shows how easy it is to edit these fields:
These are for your use and stay with the PC audit until you
delete or change them even after subsequent audits of that
machine.
You edit these from the Individual PC View when you select a PC.
Editable fields have an Edit link next to them for easy
identification.
- Edit User Name: Self explanatory. Perhaps
the audit was run by someone in your IT staff logged in as
themselves, but you want the audit to reflect the normal
user for that PC. Change it here.
- Admin Notes. A place you can enter anything you
want related to this particular audit. Here is an
example of what you might use it for showing the display
after editing as compared to the screenshot below, which is
before editing:

- Notes that apply to all PCs in this audit group – also
referred to as Generic Notes. Up to four lines of
information you can use for notes that relate to all the
audits in that audit folder.
