Deleting Audits

E-Z Audit automatically replaces old audits with new once each time you scan, so there's no "housekeeping" you need to perform.

There can be cases where you've wiped hard drives or removed machines altogether, and so can wind up with stray PCs that no longer exist.

E-Z Audit makes the task of purging these very easy.

You access the Delete functions from the Tools & Add-ons tab.

Here you can delete in three ways:

  • Automatically delete all PCs aged over 'x' number of days.

  • Delete any PC you wish from an "all PCs" display - or delete them all in one click.

If you opted to enter a value of zero days in your configuration file for automated auditing to scan once and never again as long as there is an existing audit, this is the fast, easy way to clear all audits and have fresh audits at the next network login by your PCs.

  • Delete by duplicate MAC addresses.  This is handy if you rename PCs for any reason, since PCs are indexed by PC Name.

Caution: Deleting audits with the various Delete functions described here also deletes any associated notes or changes you created or made to that audit.
