Comparing one PC against another

You can compare the files in one of your audited PCs to those in another from the same audit group.  This is a great tech support tool when you have "identical" machines that are behaving differently. 

Another use that is particularly helpful is to find software variances between a user's PC and, if you have one, the "clean" PC that was delivered from the base image you use when preparing a PC for deployment, i.e. a "baseline" audit.

This tool requires that you perform Full audits.

When you run this tool from the Tools & Add-ons tab this is what you get:

Two lists are produced:

• Unique files on the PC being compared to another PC
  
  

• Files on both where there are differences in the versions.
