Q: Some of the entries in the Summary Tab are missing information on PC names.  Why and how do I fix this?
This is very uncommon, but it's due to the local data cache on your PC not being properly refreshed.

First try a forced refresh from the Admin Console by pressing F12 or from the File > Force refresh of cache data menu.

If that does not work, you can manually delete the cache files to force the refresh.  In Vista or Windows 7 go to C:\Program Data\EZAudit\12\Cache and delete the contents of that folder.  In Windows XP or 2003, the location is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EZAudit\12\Cache

Q: Why are some of my audits being reported as 'bad' and renamed with a .badEZx extension?
There can be a number of reasons.

Most common is that the file has been renamed.  Rename it back to the original PC name for which is was named when created.

Did you install the admin console, i.e. the full installer ezsetup.msi, to a server...and then have multiple users access it that way?  It was not designed to do that and isn't supported that way.  Licensing allows you to install it to as many PCs as you need to within your company.  So if you have others in your IT department that need access to the data, install E-Z Audit to their PCs.  Do not share one installation off a server.

The file is on a read-only media like a CD or DVD, or otherwise locked.  (If this is the case, you are warned that the file is bad and will be renamed but it won't, of course, be renamed.)

Network latency.  If you are opening a large number of audits and your machine has a slow or otherwise bottlenecked connection to your server, E-Z Audit may not be able to process the data as expected.  Test by copying the .badEZx file to your local hard drive, rename it back to .EZ12 (or .EZ11 etc. as may be the case for your version), and try opening it locally:  File > Open and choose the folder where you copied it to.

This one is very likely obsolete, but for those of you still somehow using old versions of Netware, long file name support is required.
